Way back in 1965, Michael Griffin wanted to open a neighborhood bar.  With his love of sports and sports fans and the wee bit o' Irish in him, he created Griff's Irish Pub.  Since then, Griff's has become the oldest surviving sports bar in Houston and the site of the largest

St. Patrick's Day Festival in Texas.

Though Michael has since sold the bar to a younger bunch, you never know when you may walk in and see him sitting at the bar!

Many of the traditions Michael started are still in practice today - especially the

GRIFF'S ARMY!  The ARMY is made up of sports enthusiasts of amateur, college, semi-pro, and professional teams of all sports.  To become a member of the Griff's Army, just show up at Griff's and join the other enthusiasts!  The Army gathers at Griff's to watch games or to meet up before going to the games!

Come join us for a free jello shot anytime the Astros hit a home run, the Rockets  win, or the Texans score a touchdown!
